Litigation Experience: Ty joined our firm in September 2006 shortly after graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Law. There, Ty was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal and Trial Advocacy Board. He received a membership to the Order of the Coif, reserved for the top 10% of the graduating class. Ty also received numerous CALI Awards of Excellence in individual classes, including Contracts, Torts, Business Associations, and Litigation Skills. Ty participated in several trial competitions, most notably the Kentucky Academy of Trial Lawyers’ Closing Argument Competition. Since joining the firm, Ty has worked on a variety of personal injury cases involving medical negligence, automobile injuries and products liability. He has handled his own jury trials while also assisting the firm’s partners in many others. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association and serves on the Board of Governors of the Kentucky Justice Association. He also speaks Spanish. Ty participates in the "Brightside" clean-up initiative in Louisville and provides pro bono legal services through the Legal Aid Society. He enjoys soccer and the annual Derby Festival Mini-Marathon.
